Gary T. Keeny, 87, formerly of Loganville passed away on February 16, 2025, at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had been in failing health for a few years. Gary was one of eight siblings, born on June 14, 1937, in Spry to Wilson and Beulah Keeney.
Gary was a 1956 graduate of Dallastown High School where he was class president as well as Prom King. After graduation he enlisted in the air force where he served our country for 21 years, retiring as a senior master sergeant. He was then employed at York College working in the tech department doing sound and lighting where he worked for 40 years, retiring in 2019 at the age of 80.
Gary is survived by his brothers Dale and wife Nancy Keeny, Robert and wife Patricia Keeney, and sisters Lorraine and husband Ronald Myers, Barbara Baker, and Nancy and husband Steven Schell, as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister Kay Ann, brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Helen Keeny and brother-in-law Jon Baker.
A service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. 104 West Main St. Dallastown, with a time to view from 1:00 PM until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Codorus Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Dallastown American Legion Post 605.
Gary will be greatly missed but always fondly remembered for his helpful, warm and humorous personality.
