Kim Fry Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 13, 2025.
Kim Shari Pitzer Fry, 57, was reunited with the Lord November 7, 2025, in York, Pennsylvania. A veteran athletic trainer, respected health administrator, devoted daughter, wife, mother, and sister, as well as passionate scrapbooker and creative crafter, she leaves behind a legacy of dedication, leadership, honor, and warmth.
Born November 22, 1967, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Kim graduated from Dallastown Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh where she studied athletic training. Her desire was to pave the way for future females in the industry by advocating to be able to work with the football team. She was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority where she held leadership positions and thrived being part of the sisterhood. Kim's commitment to health and wellness brought her to Bermudian Springs High School where she made a name for herself as the athletic trainer for more than 33 years. She set a high standard in creating a robust student sports medicine department. Many in the community recognize her by her John Deere gator on campus.
She thrived on the excitement of each sports season, managing sports physicals, being on-site during play-off and championship games, and knew every student and player she had ever encountered by first and last name. She strived to ensure all students, regardless of circumstance, were treated with equal respect and care. She finished her career at Wellspan Urgent Orthopedics (Hanover).
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kim married her best friend, David A. Fry November 30, 1991. They spent their nearly 34 years of marriage enjoying concerts (especially TobyMac), watching college sports, and going on adventures. They have a daughter Brittani with whom she shared her passion for sports and creativity. Often, they were heard giggling together or quoting Gilmore Girls.
In her home life, Kim loved spending time with family, celebrating holidays, and getting to the beach. She loved a decent cup of coffee, and her favorite blend was called Beach Plum. If she gifted you with a bag of these grounds for your birthday or other special occasion, it was a sure sign you were on her favorites list. She enjoyed reading books-in fact, she read more in a week than some do in a lifetime-and she couldn't think of a better combination than reading a book while sitting on the beach, with a delicious cup of coffee. She enjoyed spending time in Cape May with family visiting wineries, shopping, and dining at her favorite places. Family trips to Oak Island were a highlight of the year for Kim along with celebrating her anniversary with one special trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Christmas was a holiday that Kim cherished as the family's gathering and festivities were always a special time for all. Months before the holidays, it wasn't surprising to find Kim watching the Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas. In fact, she was watching an episode just last week.
Kim also loved anything with giraffes-a printed throw, coffee mug, or change purse with that signature print of rounded squares was sure to make her smile. She enjoyed scrapbooking and had a room in her home dedicated to crafting and projects. If you had a birthday and she knew about it, you would be getting a homemade card that would be worthy of framing and hanging on a wall.
She loved sitting around the table and playing games and was always up for a round of Apples to Apples, Five Crowns, and many others. When it came to baking, she had her signature desserts like Tandy Cakes and thumbprint cookies that would always be presented on the table at holidays, barbecues, and family gatherings.
She courageously battled endometrial cancer the final years of her life. She viewed this obstacle as a chance to share her testimony of the goodness of God.
Kim is survived by her beloved husband, David Fry; daughter Brittani Fry Trimmer (Jacob); parents John and JoAnn Pitzer; brother Sean (Jamie); sister Karla Pitzer Myers (Doug); and her cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family would like to honor her legacy on December 13th with a celebration of life at Zion United Methodist Church (1030 Carlisle Rd, York, PA 17404) from 2pm-6pm. It will be open house style. Attendees are encouraged to wear their Bermudian gear.
Kim Fry will forever remain in our hearts as a loving, kind, dedicated, and honorable woman who will be remembered for her generosity, faith in God, commitment to family, and for the love and laughter she shared with those closest to her.

Kim was a real pleasure to work with as the Bermudian Springs trainer for both junior high sports and high school sports. She always went above and beyond to make sure our athletes were competing on the football field, the wrestling mat, the basketball court, the soccer field, the field hockey field, the tennis court, the baseball field, the volleyball court, the cross country course, the golf course, the track and field events, and the softball field. She was so supportive and always gave her best for the student athletes and coaches. She loved Bermudian Springs and taking care of the athletes. She made a difference! Thank you Kim, from coach Dave "Mouse" McCollum. RIP

Kim was, is, and always will be a staple of Bermudian Springs Athletics. She was the athletic trainer for 2 of my sons and when my daughter started Jr High sports in 7th grade. Grateful for everything she brought to the Athletic Dept at Berm, the athletes she worked with, legacy she leaves behind, and most importantly for her salvation through Christ Jesus. Thank you Kim!
