Gary E. Rappleye

Gary E. Rappleye, age 70 of Beaver Dams, New York passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Bath VA Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 25, 1952 in Buffalo, New York the son of Winston and Mary (Wheaton) Rappleye.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1972-74. He retired as a machinist with Kennedy Valve with 22 years of service.
Gary will be remembered as an avid NASCAR fan and follower of Dale Earnhardt Sr. He had love of his over 200 DIRECTV stations available at his fingertips. He had a small physique but was larger than life. His passions included fast cars, cannabis, and being more of a listener than a talker.
Gary is survived by three children: Daughters: Heather and Gara, Son: Josh (Kerri) Ackler of Salem, OH; Mother: Mary Rappleye of Watkins Glen Brothers: John ( Margaret) Rappleye of Beaver Dams, Winston Rappleye of Watkins Glen; "Brother" and Best Friend: Chad Craven of Beaver Dams, along with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Gary was predeceased by his fiancé, Linda Enderle; father Winston Rappleye brothers: Donald Rappleye, James Rappleye, and Kevin Rappleye.
Burial with full military honors will take place at the Enderle Rappleye Family Cemetery at 1435 Chambers Road Beaver Dams NY on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2:00pm. Per Gary's wishes following the service there will be a Celebration of Life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carpenter's Funeral Home, Corning.
