Gary was born on February 11, 1955, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to Marybelle and James Arthur Roberts. He worked in the oil field industry and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career.
Gary was a fantastic pool player and a passionate fan of rock music. Those who knew him best will remember him as kind and loving, Gary brought warmth and love into the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his children, Josh Burney and Charlotte Roberts (CJ); his granddaughter, Alexandrea Shaikh; and great-grandson, George. He also leaves behind his siblings: Sandra Roberts, Charlotte Sickle, Glenda Patterson, and Shirley Hern, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends including Chuck Roberts, Kimberly Rivera, and Jackie Halfhill.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Ila Kathleen Roberts; his brother Charles Gilbert Roberts; and other family members, James Roberts and Erik Halfhill.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Gary, please visit our Tree Store.
