Gary D. Rogner, age, 74, loving father, grandfather and brother passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on May 29, 1949, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Kenneth & Florence (Charbonneau) Rogner. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked at General Motors for over 30 years. Gary married the love of his life Gayle Champagne on December 21, 1985, in Pinconning, Michigan, they celebrated 35 years until her passing on August 17, 2021. Gary will be remembered for always knowing what's happening in the local community he didn't miss much. He enjoyed riding his mower down to the mailbox, tinkering in his garage, playing dice games, golfing, hunting, and fishing, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his children; Tammy (J.C.) Mendoza, Tom Rogner, Tina (Mitch) Abram, Marc (Carrie) Mogg, Tammy Hammond, Holli (Ken) Haas, 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, his two sisters Jan (Roy) Lewis, Carol (Elgin) Nichols. He was predeceased by his wife, a grandson Austin Haas and a brother Dick Rogner.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 7 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Bauer presiding, with military funeral honors, cremation to follow and inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery with his wife Gayle. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4 pm until the time of service.
