Gary Rute Obituary
Born in Danville on July 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Orval E. and Dorothy M. (Gresh) Rute. He was married to the former Bonnie Bobb. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Gary attended Lewisburg schools and served in the PA National Guard for over 16 years. He retired from Con Agra.
In his early years he enjoyed being in a CB Radio Club, fishing, watching his grandchildren play baseball, and being on his church bowling team. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Milton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter in law Gary and Connie Rute of Milton, a grandson Jared Rute, a great grandson Greyson Rute, three sisters and two brothers in law Bonnie Miller of Milton, Tena and Bob Gift of Paxtonville, and Patti and Bob Schmieder of Lewisburg, and a siter in law Clara Rute of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by a grandson David C. Rute and a brother Jack Rute.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Michael Stine.
