It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gauge Alexander Giesen, beloved son, devoted brother, and cherished friend. Gauge was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, and at just 16 years old, he made an immeasurable impact on the lives of those around him.

A student and janitor at Ogden High School. Gauge found joy in spending time with his friends. He was involved in the high school band and then became active as a Private First Class in the ROTC where he found camaraderie amongst friends.

But above all else, Gauge’s heart belonged to the shop. He was deeply committed to restoring his dad’s old drag bike, determined to bring it back to life.

Outside of school, Gauge loved playing video games, airsoft, and spending time with friends and family. He was always up for adventure and the first one to offer help. He had a natural talent for problem solving. From fixing airsoft guns to building a gaming computer, there was nothing he couldn't do when he set his mind to it.

His friendships were strong and marked by laughter, but above all else, he treasured his time with his sister, Alice Alldridge. No matter what he was doing, he would drop everything to spend time with her, showing the deep, unconditional love of a brother.

Gauge’s bright spirit to those he loved will forever be remembered and cherished until the end of all time. His family—his parents, Mark David Giesen, Heather O’Banion, stepfather, Gary Zoller; and his beloved sister, Alice,—invite friends and loved ones to honor his life and memory.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

A vigil will be held at Ogden High School, 2828 Harrison Blvd., following school on Friday prior to the Memorial Service.
