George "Bob" Halicki, 67, of Howland, departed this life on March 12, 2025, after a brief illness surrounded by his family. He was a pillar of his family and a cherished friend to many, leaving behind a legacy marked by hard work, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones.
Bob was born on September 17, 1957 in Youngstown, Ohio a son to the late George Robert and Erika (Walter) Hash.
Bob was a graduate of Hubbard High School class of 1975.
Bob's professional journey commenced at Roth Bros. Roofing, where he devoted 45 years of his life. His commitment and diligence saw him rise through the ranks to become the Director of National Roofing Operations, an accomplishment that stood as a testament to his dedication and passion for his work. He cherished not only his job but also the camaraderie he developed with colleagues, viewing them as extended members of his family.
A loving father to, James (Molly) Halicki of North Canton, Brandon Smith (Jessie Knez) of Austintown, and Ryan Halicki of Liberty Twp,. His grandchildren, Nick Eagle, Elaine Briseno, Korial Dalambakis, Catalegha Dalambakis, Audrey Halicki, and Kenna Smith, brought immense pride and joy to his life. Bob also held dear the bond he shared with his cousin, Mandie Grilli, who she viewed as a father figure and nagged relentlessly. He found happiness golfing with his best friends, Kenny Lamancusa and Tom Miller, with whom he shared countless memorable moments.
Along with his parents Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Halicki.
Bob was known for his willingness to assist others, embodying the true spirit of selflessness. His love for family was everlasting. Bob left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Bob on Saturday, March 22nd from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Angels for Animals: 4750 OH-165, Canfield, OH 44406
