G. Michael Flavin, age 81, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Weymouth and Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Quincy, to the late George V. and Florence L. (Geiger) Flavin. Raised and educated there, he was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1963. He lived in Spring Hill, Fla. for over twenty years, previously in Weymouth for thirty years.

Michael was employed as a field manager with the New England Telephone Company and retired from Nynex in 1994 after thirty years of service. Following his retirement, George worked as a consultant for several years. Michael was proud to have served as a AME2 in the United States Naval Air Reserve from 1965-1971. He enjoyed boating and was an avid golfer. Beloved husband of Alice L. (Landry) Flavin and the late Phyllis A. (O'Brien) Flavin.

Devoted father of Sean M. Flavin and his wife Michelle of Syracuse, N.Y., Kaitlyn M. Flavin, Captain., West Haven, Connecticut Police Department of West Haven, Conn. Loving grandfather of Katia and Elise. Brother of Anne-Marie Kondra of Martha's Vineyard and her late husband Fred.

Visitation will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, December 19, from 9 – 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 227 Sea Street, Quincy, at 10:30 a.m. Interment, with military honors, to follow at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, 20 Sea Street, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
