George C. Hinckley, Jr, 94, of Danvers, passed away on October 23, 2024. He was the husband of the late Suzanne (Jurgenson) Hinckley.
Born in Boston on May 2, 1930, he was the son of the late George and Charlotte (Herrick) Hinkley. He was raised and educated in Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School in 1947. He served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. George graduated from Harvard College. He had a long career in banking and had been the Vice President of the Bank of Boston for many years. George was also the co-owner of Danvers Travel. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid sports fan. George was especially proud of his family and loved spending time with them.
He is survived by two daughters, Robyn Healy and her husband Richard of Salem and Pamela Hinckley of Danvers, his brother Ralph Hinckley of Weston and three grandsons, Andrew Healy and his wife Nicole, Curtis Healy and his wife Brittney and William Patrick Coakley III, three great grandchildren, Olivia, Jamie and Cameron, three nieces and one nephew.
His visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George's name to a charity of one's choice.
