George Missimer Obituary

On September 16, 1944, George B. Missimer was born in his parents' home in Pennsylvania. Over the next 80 years he lived a full life. Upon graduating high school, he entered the Air Force and served until his honorable discharge. He was a volunteer fireman and EMT and installed security systems.
In his youth, George enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and fishing. Later he enjoyed photography, and making jewelry as hobbies.
A devoted grandfather and husband twice, he was predeceased by both of his wives, Jeanette and Madeline, both of whom he loved dearly.
George is remembered by his grandson and namesake George Missimer, his wife Melanie and their children. His siblings, Ruby Dilmore, Richard Missimer, Joseph Missimer, Mary Daniels, Becky Lurty, Arthur Missimer, and their families.
Per George's wishes there will be no services, and he will be interred at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
