George A. Norrington of Otwell, IN, passed away on November 15, 2024, at Eastgate Manor surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 17, 1935, in Winslow, IN, to Earl D. Norrington Sr. and Mary (Morton) Willis.
George loved many things which included farming, animals, mowing with his John Deere, hunting and fishing, mushroom hunting and lastly Trump. George loved the most in his life was his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his brother Bud Willis; sister, Carol Jean Edge; children, Mary (John) Rennie, George E. Norrington, Julia (Timmy) Burris, Teresa Norrington, Cheryl Gottschall, and Charles Crowley; 27 grandchildren and many more great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maire Louise Norrington; his parents Earl D. Norrington Sr. and Mary Willis; sons, Rick White, Mark Norrington and honorary son Dave Gottschall and John Fisher; his brothers Lester (Roberta) Willis, Earl Norrington Jr., Earl Ray Norrington, Benny Ray Willis; his sisters Joann Hale, Dorthy Willis; and his grandson Joey Williams.
Visitation will be held at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel on Sunday November 24, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Service will be Monday November 25, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. with burial to follow at Sugarland Memorial Garden, Washington, IN, with Jewel Gilley to officiate. Military rites will be administered by retired veterans of the VFW and American Legion.
