Larry Norrington, 74, of Evansville, passed away November 18, 2023 at his home. He was born August 5, 1949 in Evansville, to the late Ernest and Rose (Masterson) Norrington.
Larry graduated from Central High School in 1968. He served in the United States Army and later worked for Evansville's water and sewer department. He enjoyed working out at the gym and playing cards. He also enjoyed building model cars and traveling. Larry was a member of the Black Hat Gang where they put on singles' dances.
He is survived by his fiancée, Nellie Truitt; sons, Bryan and Scott Norrington; Grandchildren Allie, Scout, Jordon, and Khaleesi Norrington; sisters, Betty Craig. Linda Norrick, and Dianna (Tom) Wahl; brother, Jerry (Nancy) Norrington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by siblings, Ernest Norrington, Jr., Violet Biddle, Gloria Medcalf, Zelma Kemp, Clarence "Sonny" Norrington, Frank Norrington, and Joann Hatfield.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave. Evansville, IN 47710. The family would like family and friends to share their memories of Larry at the end of visitation.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or to the Shriners Hospital, 6 Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47708.
