George Torosian, 96 years old, died peacefully on March 21, 2025, with his family by his side. Born in Litchfield, NH George spent most of his life in Nashua. George was the son of the late Margos and Margaret Torosian.
George was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1946. Following high school, George proudly served his country in World War II, before returning home in 1948. As a young adult, George went to work for Jamie Shoe Company and it was there he met his future wife, Mary Korontjis. George and Mary were married on June 28, 1953 and remained together for almost 68 years before Mary's passing in June 2021. For a number of years George worked at Cushman Bakery before going to work for his brother-in-law Nick Salis @ Nick's Exxon on DW Highway in Nashua. After retiring in 1990, George worked part-time at Ledge St School as a lunch monitor and cross-guard. George was a member of St Phillip Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Nashua Order of AHEPA.
George lived a rich and healthy life, with a simple guiding principle - Family First. He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren hosting pool parties & holiday gatherings at the family home at 21 New Dunstable Road. A favorite tradition was visiting children (grandkids and his friend's kids/ grandkids) on Christmas Eve dressed as Santa Claus. It was a tradition like no other and something he and Mary cherished each holiday season. George was also the family patriarch when it came to cooking lamb on Greek Easter, another tradition he relished each spring. Kindness was not a stranger to 'Mr. George', who was often seen reaching into his pocket to pay for the lunch of a needy Ledge Street School student.
George was an avid sports fan who loved following the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics & Bruins. He frequented the local casinos with his daughters and always made time to check-in on his grand-children's activities and sports teams. And finally, the weekly Saturday night cribbage game can resume with George, Mary and their life-long friends Litsa & Jerry Delage.
Aside from his loving wife Mary, George was pre-deceased by his siblings Mary Carlock, Charlotte Simoneau and Leo Torosian, his sons-in-law Richard Noel Sr and David Titus, his great grandson, Anthony Perez.
Survivors include his children and their families: Margaret Titus, Judith Noel & Michael Murray, Lisa & Rocky Moreau, and George & Jennifer Torosian. His grandchildren: Melissa & Nick Werner; Angela & Jared McCrum; Nicole & Scott Lacroix, Rebecca & Ivan Perez, Matthew Noel & Katelyn Van Eron, Jonathan & Katie Moreau; Donna & Hunter Clement; Owen & Sadie Torosian. George is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many, many close friends. George was also a second father to his niece Leni Hodgins, and nephew Dr. Dean Giftos.
The Torosian family would like to send their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Aynsley Place where George resided the final few months of his life. He made great friends there and the staff was always tending to his needs. The family will be forever grateful.
Relatives and friends are invited to George's visitation on WEDNESDAY, March 26th from 10 AM until 11 AM in St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 West Hollis Street, Nashua. His Funeral Service will take place in the church at 11 AM. Interment and presentation of military honors to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of 'Mr. George' to Ledge Street School / Student Activity Funds: Lunch Accounts, 139 Ledge Street, Nashua NH 03060 with George's name Ledge Street School Lunch Program listed on memo line. My mom and I send our heart-felt sympathy in the loss of your Dad. He was kind, funny, and always lived life to the fullest. We were always so happy to see your parents in Church and catching up with them at coffee hour. We saw your Dad outside the house last year and pulled into the driveway to say hello. We must have chatted for 20 minutes, reminiscing and laughing. He will be greatly missed. May his memory be eternal! Paula and Connie

I have many fond memories of Uncle George, including working together at Nick´s Esso! He was a wonderful man and will be missed, but he is now in a much better place.
