Hello and greetings everyone. My name is Keba and my dear beloved father, the beloved grandfather of John John, (George Vaughn), passed away on April 22, 2023. Occurring on Earth Day, and what significance that symbolizes! My father was an intellectual, a truth seeker and always attained more knowledge about his ancestry. Whether through books, attending lectures, photography, visiting historical, and spiritual places & studying relics across the globe upon his retirement. All along, continuing to pass his knowledge through his books and his visuals to his daughter and his grandson. My father traveled to Egypt (3) times with the great and legendary Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan aka Dr. Ben. He was adamant about reading, seeking truth and always reiterating, knowledge is POWER. Ever since I was very young and the same age my son is now. He frequently asked, please ensure that my grandson reads every day and reads EVERYTHING. Keeping him in the books to expand his mind is what he'd say often.
Dad was all about LOVE for his two loves (myself and his only grandson). Until his last days, he was still trying to order on Amazon, just one more book. I was amazed. So, he can gift it to my son. He always ordered books for his precious grandson well beyond his years, 'just to have'. Always sent a text to let me know when to expect the delivery of one more book to make sure John John knew the importance of reading and understanding one's history. That in fact, there is an entire world to EXPLORE within reading books. I will forever be grateful to my father for what he instilled in me and my son.
Since my father was continually about passing the knowledge, in lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that any donations graciously received shall be directed towards his grandson's 'John John's College Education Fund'. Flowers are still warmly welcomed and much appreciated. However, continuing my father's legacy of education for his grandson is paramount.
Thank you so much for the tremendous love, kind gestures, words of encouragement, condolences and unwavering support during this challenging time of our sorrow. We have received and continue to receive such an outpouring of light and I am exceptionally grateful as we honor a true legendary King, my father and grandfather, George Vaughn.
