Raymond Valentine Wolff of White Plains, NY passed away on August 13, 2025. He was 87 years old.

Ray was born on February 14, 1938 in Manhattan to his parents Berthram Wolff and Mary Kopacz. He was raised in the Hell's Kitchen area of New York City, growing up on 48th St. and 9th Ave with his parents and his beloved sister Diane, who predeceased him. He graduated from St Agnes High School in Manhattan.

After school, Ray worked for many years at the New York Telephone Co, starting out installing phone lines. There he would meet his ex-wife of 30 years, Patricia. Their son Robert was born in 1974.

He would work his way up at AT&T, where he would meet his lifelong partner, Margaret (Peggy) Coyle. He would later move to AT&T's Credit Union, leading it as Westchester Federal Credit Union as CEO through multiple mergers until his retirement at 72 from the Affinity Federal Credit Union. After his retirement, he spent many years serving in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Ray was a true outdoorsman, pursuing the love of hunting and fishing he inherited from his father throughout his life. Happiest by the water, he summered often in Lake George and Lake Luzerne, where he often took his family and friends out on his boat, the Bette-Anne. He and Peggy also enjoyed traveling together, sharing trips to locales such as Florida, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.

In addition to his parents and his sister, he was predeceased by his aunt, Alice Widman, and his brother-in-law Richard O'Sullivan.

In addition to Peggy, his devoted love and companion of 39 years, and his only son, Robert, he is also survived by his brother-in-law, Nicholas Kowatch, his former wife Patricia, his sister-in-law Jayne O'Sullivan, nephews Christopher and David Kowatch and nieces Tracy, Jill, and Tara O'Sullivan.

A wake will be held at McMahon Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave in White Plains, Wed. Aug 20th from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 920 Mamaroneck Ave in White Plains, Thurs. Aug 21 at 10am.

Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
