George Wiggers, known to many as Josh and affectionately as Uncle Josh, passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 75.
A man of strong faith, a sharp mind, and a legendary sense of humor, Josh lived a life marked by curiosity, generosity, and devotion to his family. Passionate about electrical work and how things functioned, he also made a lasting impact as a book publisher. Under the name Uncle Josh, he created educational tools-most notably his maps-that became staples in home education.
Josh loved exploring the connection between faith and science, often diving into topics like quantum faith, frequency, and cymatics. He enjoyed learning about car repair-especially vehicles from before computers complicated things. Whether sharing thoughtful insights or delivering a perfectly-timed dad joke, Josh left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cindy (Whitmore); their children, Libby and Karho Lim, Hannah and Adam Gullett, and Alex and Ashley Wiggers; and 10 grandchildren: William, Evelyn, and Claire Gullett; Elijah, Ephraim, Ezra, and Eran Lim; and Lincoln, Jackson, and Ruby Wiggers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 29, 2025, at Victory Christian Fellowship in Somerset, KY. Visitation begins at 3:00 PM, with the service at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to stay curious, help someone in need, or learn something new-because that's exactly what Josh would do.
