Ms. Georgia Mae Gunn, age 70, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Mena, Arkansas. She was born April 3, 1955, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to parents, James Alvin and Georgia Mae (Hood) Gunn.
Ms. Gunn was an aircraft interior designer by profession and was known for her exceptionally green thumb. It was said that anything touched by Georgia would grow, naturally she loved gardening. Georgia enjoyed arts and crafts, going antiquing, canning and cooking. But above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ms. Georgia Mae Gunn is preceded in death by her parents, James Alvin and Georgia Mae (Hood) Gunn and by her brothers, James Alvin Gunn and Arthur Morris. Georgia is survived by her sons, Shane Evans, Clint Evans and wife Lamanda; daughters, Heather Hall and husband Joel, Betina McCleskey and husband Bryan; grandchildren, Amber West, Bella Rae Hall, Leann Evans, Christian Evans, Blake Evans, Delina Runyon, Paige Evans, Victoria Evans, Alyssa Hunter, Scarlett McCleskey; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Gunn; Sisters, Leola Irwin, Wanda Toudouze, Angela Gunn, Melody Hemberger; as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends too numerous to mention.
Services for Mrs. Georgia Mae Gunn will be held, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of Nazarene in Cove, Arkansas. Brother Jeff Mattox will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas. Pallbearers Zack Hunter, David Runyon, Joel Hall, Jeremiah Hall, Christian Evans, and Blake Evans. Honorary Pallbearers Jamie Gunn and Steven Gunn.
