Gerald Bigg

Gerald Bigg, 89, passed away on July 19, 2022. He is survived by his son, Jon (Gail) Bigg, grandchildren Justin (Michal), Kyle and Allison (Luke) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Joan, brother William Bigg and parents Edward and Rebecca Bigg.Jerry proudly served in the United States Army before marrying Joan and settling in Johnson City, NY, where he lived for 50 years. He loved dogs and was passionate about music. He was a fixture in the guitar groups at St James Church and later at the Johnson City Senior Center, where he had many great friends. In 2021, Jerry moved to Rochester to live at Atria Senior Living, where he made many new friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Barber Memorial Home 428 Main Street Johnson City on August 18th, 2022 at 5pm. Friends may call at the Barber Memorial Home from 3pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Broome County Humane Society.
