Gerald Carioti Obituary

Gerald Carioti, age 67 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Born in Canton to the late Francesco and Vincenzina (Lioi) Carioti, he was also preceded in death by brothers Frank and Albert Carioti, and sister Mary (Katie) Slicker. He was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and studied engineering at Kent State University. He enjoyed sports, music, gardening, making homemade sauce, sausage, and walking with his friends. He retired from the Timken Steel Company after 31 years as a crane operator and heavy equipment operator.
Gerald is survived by his son Brandon Carioti, granddaughter Valentina Carioti, brother Joseph Carioti, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He enjoyed life and was adored by his family and friends. He always lit up the room with his presence. Memorial service will be held at the Rossi Family Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Calling hours will follow from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Jerry was always a happy face and a great person to talk with. We missed him when he retired from Timken the second time. Rest in peace friend.
