Gerald A. Schaumburg, Sr., 89, of Stuart, Florida, went home to be with his Lord on June 25, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1936, in Cresten, Illinois.
His greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Marlene Schaumburg, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage-a true testament to enduring love and partnership. He was a loving father to three children: Jerry A. Schaumburg, Jr., Candis Schaumburg Deruchia, and Gregory A. Schaumburg. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and to eleven great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them.
Jerry dedicated his life to his family and his faith, leaving a legacy of profound love, unwavering devotion to God, and quiet strength. A patriotic and proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jerry deeply loved his country and enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Neva Schaumburg, and his sisters Jane, Joan, and Susan.
A dedicated entrepreneur throughout his career, Jerry built and operated several small businesses. He took great pride in his work and was deeply committed to serving his customers with integrity and care.
He was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stuart for 52 years, where he served actively and worshipped wholeheartedly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2450 SE Ocean Blvd, Stuart, FL. Luncheon following service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jerry's honor to Redeemer Lutheran Church or VITAS Healthcare Hospice.
2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
