Geraldine "Jerry" Ann Jett, 92, of Gibsonburg, passed away one day after her husband Don at Otterbein Pemberville on December 11, 2023.
She was born November 12, 1931 in Jackson, OH the daughter of Arthur F. and Freida F. (Strouse) Davis. Jerry was a 1949 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and attended Bowling Green State University. On May 23, 1975 she married Don Jett in Belmont, Ohio at the Methodist Church.
Jerry was the owner and operator of Jerry's Ceramics & Crafts in Gibsonburg and was a ceramics teacher for Cuskick's Products Inc. She touched many lives as a teacher and loved her ceramics crafts. Jerry was a member of the former Gibsonburg Eastern Star #451 for over 50 years, they combined with the Fremont Post, where she served as Past Matron in 1960 and then joined Tiffin OES #189.
After she and Don retired in 2007, they moved back to her hometown in Gibsonburg. She enjoyed being near her family and friends, especially her sister, Jean.
Surviving is her daughter Kathy (Wayne) Kauffman; step-daughter, Lisa Jett; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Jean De Angelis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; sons, Thomas and James Smith and sister Nancy McQuay.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Herman-Veh funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg, OH, 43431.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery. Pastor Nick Blausey will officiate.
