Gertrude Eloise (Tompkins) Muensterman, 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home.
Gertrude was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 22, 1935 to the late Philip and Eloise (Ziegler) Tompkins. She was a graduate of Memorial High School. Gertrude was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Church. She loved traveling with her husband throughout the United States, and spending time at Lake Barkley. Gertrude enjoyed shopping and decorating her home. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Gertrude is survived by her daughters, Karin Macke (Gary) of Evansville, IN, Susan Vervilles (Lucky) of Louisville, KY, and Jane Belcher Moore (Matt) of Owensboro, KY; sons, Terry Muensterman (Mary Ellen) of Evansville, IN and Joe Muensterman (Karen) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Eloise Hamner (Ray), Christine Settle, Nadine Parker, and Kathleen Straube; grandchildren, Dustin Macke (Mia), Cory Macke (Kayci), Shad Macke (Kaelyn), Brandon Muensterman (Melissa Jones ), Terra Ours (Zach), Kelly Muensterman (Jessica), Mary Caitlin Muensterman, Maura Muensterman, Summer Eliason (Peter), Misty Nall (Nam Nguyen), John Muensterman (Elena), Becca Muensterman, Anna Muensterman, Nathan Belcher (Keista), Christian Belcher, Jennifer Sterling (Blake), and Blake Belcher (Kasey); and many great-grandchildren.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Wilburn Muensterman; parents; daughter, Mary Ann Nall; sister, Lenora Miles; and brothers, Philip, Jimmy, and Larry Tompkins.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2701 W. Franklin St., Evansville, IN 47712. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:00 am until mass time on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 98018 Washington DC 20090-8018.

I met Gertrude as a customer at Marshall´s I always looked forward to talking with her as she was a beautiful woman inside & out she loved her family immensely & would often talk ab her children & grandchildren to me & was always interested in my family I know she will be deeply missed
