Ginger Kay Glandon of St. James, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 66.
Ginger was born on February 11, 1959, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Benjamin and Sarah "Jane" (Sparks) Pierce. Many in the St. James community will remember Ginger from her years at Delano, where her warm smile could brighten anyone's day. After Delano closed, she continued to greet familiar faces with that same light and kindness at Dollar General.
Ginger loved the holidays and any excuse to gather her family around the table. A riverbank, a good book, and a little sunshine were all she needed for a perfect day. An avid reader, she was rarely seen without a book in hand. Ginger hadn't driven in over 25 years-she loved to walk, only accepting a ride when the rain left her no choice.
Above all, Ginger deeply loved her family. She was a devoted mother and a fiercely loving grandmother, always present and proud. Her family was her heart.
She is survived by her children, Shane Pierce and wife Cherie of St. James, MO, and Mary Jane Schafer and husband Kyle of Salem, MO; her brothers, Robert Pierce (Alicia) of Hollister, MO, Jodie Pierce (Kathy) and Benjamin Pierce (Judy), all of Kearney, MO, and Rick Pierce (Me-Jong) of Colorado Springs, CO; and her sister, Debbie Rabb (Robert) of Roanoke, VA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Allison Abramovitz (fiancé Trai Thorton), Alexus Crawford, Hope Pierce, London Crawford, Jordan Griffin, and Canyon Snelson.
Ginger was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Pierce; her son, Nathan Earls; and her grandson, Eathan Earls.
In accordance with her wishes, Ginger will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held August 16, 2025 to honor and remember her beautiful spirit.
