Gladys Colon, 62, entered the arms of our Lord on October 2, 2025 in Philadelphia, PA. She was born to parents Francisco Valdés and Nelia (Noelia) DelValle on July 1, 1963. Gladys was an energizer bunny, a bargain shopper who was family oriented with a contagious laugh that filled a room. She was strong, fierce, and a hard worker. Gladys was a dedicated worker for the Trenton Board of Education for 4 years as a Bilingual Secretary for Central Registration. She absolutely loved her job and was proud to serve the parents and students of the community. Gladys was the protector of all her siblings, a true mama bear who helped raise her siblings. Gladys welcomed everyone into her home, and became the pickup mama at school for her family and friends. She enjoyed celebrating everyone's accomplishments and milestones. Gladys gave 110% to everything she did for others. She had a heart of gold and would always give to others not expecting anything in return. She was especially looked upon for guidance, and advice, and was her family's decision maker. Gladys deeply loved her family, and was especially proud of both her daughters, son-in-laws and her grandchildren.

Predeceased by her father Francisco Valdés and stepfather Jose (Pepe) Ruiz, siblings: Antonio Ruiz, Frankie Valdes, and Carmen Valdes. Gladys is deeply mourned by her mother: Nelia (Noelia) DelValle, devoted husband of forty five years, Jose Luis (Vicente) Colon, daughters: Norma (Luis) Villanueva, and Zenaida (Jose) Sanchez, grandchildren: Anaisa Villanueva, Jose Luis Villanueva, Zuleimi Sánchez, and Aracelis Sanchez, siblings: Jose (Joyce) Valdés, Miriam (Domingo) Delgado, Nelson Ruiz, James (Jimmy) Valdés, and Tommy Valdés. Gladys is also survived by her sister- in-law Evelisse Ruiz (Antonio), and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with Catholic funeral services officiated by Reverend Monsignor Dennis A. Apoldite at 11:45 AM. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ. Repass will be held immediately after at The Bridge 707 Neshaminy Mall Bensalem, PA 19020
