Glen Fitzjarrald, 85, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Ft. Wayne. Born on March 28, 1940, in Marion to George and Wanda (Collins) Fitzjarrald, Glen remained in Marion all of his life.

On July 15, 1961, Glen married Sandra K. (Wagner), beginning a partnership that spanned more than six decades. Together they built a life centered around family and shared experiences. Glen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found joy in the company of those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra; his children, Brian (Kim) Fitzjarrald and Teresa (Eric) Trowbridge; grandchildren, Rachel, Jesse, Alex, and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Hallie, Mac, Noah, and Payton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeffrey Scott Fitzjarrald; four brothers and two sisters.

Glen served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. After returning home, he worked for many years as a painter before transitioning into roles as a semi-truck driver and later as a city bus driver-professions that allowed him to connect with people across different walks of life.

Outside of work, Glen had a passion for fishing and could often be found casting a line at the Mississinewa and Salamonie reservoirs. He also had a creative spirit in the kitchen and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes.

Services for Glen will be announced at a later date. Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
