Rose Mary Fitzjarrald, 78, of Rushville, IL passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on September 3, 1944 in Peoria, IL a daughter of the late Lester & Edna M. Cook Hibbs. She married Phillip R. "Phil" Fitzjarrald, Sr. on July 4, 1980 at his parent's home in Huntsville, IL. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2018. Rose is survived by her special friend: Richard "Dick" Powell of Rushville, IL, (3) sons; Phillip "Flip" Fitzjarrald & wife Michele of Rushville, IL, his children; Lacey Marcelino (Seth), Kylie Avery (Brennen), Phillip Fitzjarrald III, Conley Fitzjarrald, son, Michael Fitzjarrald & wife Rebecca of Rushville, IL, his children; Kyle Fitzjarrald (Isabel), Jacob Fitzjarrald (Heather), son, Shawn Fitzjarrald & wife Tonya of Camden, IL, his child; Kimberly Fitzjarrald, grandchildren; Melissa Agans and Byron Siekman, (24) great grandchildren, (2) brothers; Bob Hibbs (Shirley), Tim Hibbs, (1) sister-in-law; Sheila Hibbs, several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by (1) daughter; Yvonne Newby, (2) grandchildren; Austin Fitzjarrald, Dylan Fitzjarrald, (6) brothers; Larry Hibbs, Lester Hibbs, Jack Hibbs, Jim Hibbs, Dave Hibbs & Willard Hibbs. Rose attended Peoria schools and worked at Methode Electronics in Golden, IL. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, mushrooming, flowers & plants. She loved cookouts and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Worthington Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Camden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services on Thursday. Memorials may be given to Schuyler County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
