Glenda Dianne Lane Mitchell went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 17, 2025. She was born in Baytown, Texas, on July 29, 1950, to David Everette Lane and Dona Pauline Archer Lane.

Glenda graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1968, where she was active in clubs and the Sterling Stars. After graduation, she worked in various secretarial positions before following her true passion and opening her own business, VG's Nail Salon.

On October 27, 2000, Glenda married the love of her life, James "Jimmy" Mitchell. They enjoyed many years together traveling across the United States on their Harleys with friends. When not exploring the open road, Glenda cherished time at home caring for her beloved dachshunds. A lifelong Elvis Presley fan, she proudly displayed her extensive memorabilia collection throughout her home.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, David E. Lane and Dona P. Lane. She is survived by her husband, James Mitchell; her brother, David Lane and wife, Patty; her stepdaughters, Christy Ham and husband, Jarad, and Misty Bonham and husband, Michael; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Glenda's life will take place at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services with a visitation an hour prior. A procession to San Jacinto Memorial Park will follow the service.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at Waterford Magnolia Trails Memory Care and Divinity Hospice for the exceptional love and care they provided to Glenda.
