Glenda Logan Power, age 79, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15th at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Pickard and Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beside the Still Waters at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Power was born in Johnson County, Georgia on October 18, 1944, to the late Cordice Franklin Logan and Bessie Alma Sheppard Logan. She worked at Central State Hospital as an Administrative Secretary, retiring with 34 years of service. She loved sewing, making wreaths and flower arrangements. She also loved to collect Barbie Dolls. She was preceded in death by her husband George Power, three brothers Ronald Francis Logan, Milton Franklin Logan and William Arnold Logan. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Tanya Power Thornton (Joe) of Gray, three sisters Hazel Council and Mary Smith of Milledgeville and Jean Crowe (Robert) of Elberton, three grandsons, Logan Thornton, Jordan Thornton and Will Thornton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
