Ashburnham-Glenn Bishop, 100, of Ashburnham passed away peacefully, on Saturday morning March 8, 2025 in his beloved home on the lake.
Glenn was born in Whitesboro, Texas on August 12, 1924, a son of the late Hustin and Opal (Sullivan) Bishop, and grew up in Texas before joining the United States Navy, where he served his country honorably during World War II.
Following is discharged from the service, Glenn relocated to the northeast settling in Ashburnham and going to work as a manager in the parts department at R & P Parts Rebuilders. He later worked at the
Fitchburg Intermodal Transportation Center for several years prior to his retirement.
Glenn loved living on the lake and spending time outdoors doing yardwork and gardening. He also enjoyed boating, country western music and the rodeo. He was and avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 21 at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church,. 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be held at a later date, with his daughter and wife, in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg.
The Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Sorry for your loss. Glenn was a great person and a pleasure to work with. After he retired he would call my office to see how I was doing.
He will be missed.
