Glenn P. Johnson of Mahopac, NY, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on February 20, 1959, in Peekskill, NY, Glenn's life was a testament to his strength, compassion, and dedication to those he loved.
Glenn proudly served his country in the US Air Force, stationed in Myrtle Beach, SC. His commitment to service continued in the Reserves in New Orleans, LA, where he exemplified the values of loyalty and duty. Glenn's military career was a significant chapter in his life, and the discipline and skills he acquired resonated through his personal endeavors.
After his military service, Glenn became a plumber and joined the Local 21 Steamfitters and Plumbers Union. He had a passion for cars, and it showed as he meticulously restored his 1965 Corvette, affectionately named "Herbie." His love for animals was equally evident, with a special place in his heart for dogs and cats. Glenn's emotional depth and caring nature were the cornerstones of his character, endearing him to all who knew him.
Glenn's memory will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Justin and Jared Johnson, the latter engaged to Tori Jones. His sister, Karen Mae Johnson, will also hold dear the memories they shared. Glenn was predeceased by his loving wife, Daun DeFeo-Johnson, in 2020, and by his parents, George and Edna Johnson.
All are welcome to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, July 19th from 5-7 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. Interment of his cremains will conclude services on July 25th at 2 PM at Ballard-Barrett Cemetery in Mahopac Falls, NY.
