Gloria Ann Groft

Gloria Ann (Wagaman) Groft, age 85, of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 31, 2025 at her home. She was the loving wife of Donald L. Groft; together they shared 68 years of marriage.
Gloria was born in Hanover, PA on July 11, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Francis "Hap" Wagaman and Catherine (Bowie) Wagaman. She was employed by the Amity House and Elby's and ended her career working in the cafeteria at Conewago Township Elementary School. Gloria enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and crafting, but most of all cherished the time she spent with her loving family. She was also a parishioner of Sacred Heart Basilica in Hanover.
In addition to her loving husband Donald, Gloria is survived by her children Pamela Waldrup of Hanover, Kathy Miracle and husband Sam of Spring Grove, Barbara Fritz and husband Ronald of Chambersburg, Sharon Jarvis and husband Jeff of Hanover, Vicky Jarvis and husband Terry of New Oxford, Allen Groft and wife Carol of Hanover, and Daniel Groft of Greensboro, NC; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Denise; and her daughter-in-law Kelly.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Gloria's life will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 10:00AM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, PA 17344. She will be laid to rest following the service at Conewago Chapel Cemetery in Hanover. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM with prayers at 7:00PM and on Wednesday from 9:00AM – 10:00AM both at the funeral home.
