Gordon Norman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scot Ward Funeral Services - Conyers on Mar. 24, 2024.
Gordon Norman, age 30, left behind the struggles of his earthly body and walked whole and healed with Jesus on Friday, March 22, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memory his father Mac Norman (Wanda), mother Ruth Norman, brother Joel Norman (Rabecca), niece Addison, step sister Magan Roberts, step brother Matthew Munger, and other extended family and close friends.
Gordon grew up in Conyers and graduated from Salem High School. He enjoyed playing Miracle League baseball, participating in Special Olympics (especially bowling), camping with family and friends, watching Barney, and riding in the purple dune buggy, affectionately known as the "Barney-mobile." He loved attending FOCUS Camp and participating in activities at Smyrna Presbyterian Church with the assistance of devoted volunteers.
Gordon was well known and loved in his community. He touched many lives and will be remembered for his sweet smile and joyful nature.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 25 from 6-8 pm at Scot Ward Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, March 26, at 3:00 p.m. at Smyrna Presbyterian Church, 2920 Hwy 212 Conyers, with burial immediately following the service in the Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the church in McDaniel Hall. Everyone is invited to greet the family and share special memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon's memory may be made to FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress), 3825 Presidential Parkway #103, Atlanta, GA 30340.

I remember subbing in Theo´s class and remember all the children very well, especially Gordon. He has been in my thoughts after all these years, and I was so thankful Theo reached out to me for prayers for Gordon.
My prayers remain with you and your family for comfort, and may you feel the love of Christ in your heart in this difficult time.
