Gordon E. Rhodes, Jr., 79, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Evergreen Place in Manchester. He was born on September 18, 1945 to the late Gordon E. and Ethel F. (Gerrish) Rhodes.
Gordon was born and raised in Manchester, attending West High School and then NH Technical School. After school, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam and later honorably discharged. Gordon enjoyed hiking and biking and rode with the Granite State Wheelmen. He also enjoyed playing in softball leagues and was an avid cat lover.
Gordon led with kindness and was a friend to all. Even in his short time at Evergreen Place, he made a lasting impression and was known as such a gentleman. He will be terribly missed.
Gordon is survived by his two sisters: Diane Italia, Sharon Melody Metcalf and her husband Mark; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings: David Rhodes and Carol Borgi.
SERVICES: A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Bedford Center Cemetery, 14 Church Rd. in Bedford at 11am.
