Mrs. Grace Evelyn May, age 83

 

Of: New Johnsonville, TN traded her earthly wings for her heavenly wings to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born June 2, 1940, in East Prairie, Missouri. Mrs. Grace was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Waverly, TN. She lived a full life and enjoyed many things including sewing, gardening, fishing, baking/cooking, and traveling. She especially enjoyed her “Girls Only” trips with her daughter, Amber.

 

The family would like to give special thanks to Kelly Willhite with TN Quality Hospice for the tender care provided to Mrs. May over the years.

 

Graveside Services for Mrs. Grace will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, August 13, 2023, at McEwen Cemetery with her son-in-law, Chad Bone, officiating.

 

Interment will follow.

   Jim May (Belinda) of Hurricane Mills, TN

   Waylynn

 

Preceded in death by:

 

Parents: William Carlisle Stevens and Helen Desgrange Stevens

Husband: Ernest Olestus May, Jr.

Son: Daniel Kelly May

Brother: Tommy Stevens

Sister: Sarah Jean McKnett

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Humphreys County Humane Society, 112 Young Road, Waverly, TN 37185.
