Collista Grace Troutman, age 85, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025. She was born March 26, 1939 in Flatgap, KY to the late Aubrey and Mary Alice Hayes. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; brother, William "Bill" Hayes; and her sister, Louella Conley.

Grace is survived by her children: John Michael Bruce (Denise), Robin Fugate (Craig Coy), and Nancy Tappendorf (Arthur); grandchildren: Johnathon Martin, Nicole West (Amy), Matthew Bruce, Michaela Raines, Aaron Tappendorf (Isis), Sarah Tappendorf, Noah Tappendorf (Reagan), and Rachel Tappendorf; great-grandchildren: Abbey, Anna, Lily, Liara, Lilly, Lucas, Bentlee, John and Grayson.

Grace was a dedicated wife and mother who always made sure everyone was fed, was well-known for her home-cooked meals, especially her red velvet cake, and never wanting help cleaning up. She enjoyed gardening, could play the guitar by ear, and she loved caring for her grandchildren as often as she could.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm. To share a memory of Grace or leave a special for her family, please sign the online guestbook provided.
