Obituary of Grace Vanderbeek
Grace A. Vanderbeek, 63, of Washington Township, Warren County, NJ, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 8, 2024 in her home.
Born January 8, 1961 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the youngest daughter of the late Onofrio and Ann (Reynolds) Contino.
Grace was a firm believer in Christ and her love for Jesus was obvious to all who knew her. She also had a passion for baking and her business, Grace's Cookies & Cakes, is her legacy. Having wanted to be a hairstylist when she was younger, she was always trying new hair products and cosmetics. She loved spending time with family and going all out for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. She often called her daughter Chelsea her "old age company" and they loved shopping together. She also enjoyed exercising with friends and walking at Meadow Breeze Park.
In addition to her husband of 35 years, Vincent J. Vanderbeek, Grace is survived by two daughters, Danielle Hart and her husband Christopher of Stroudsburg, PA and Chelsea Vanderbeek at home; her brother Joseph Contino and his wife Vicki of Bushkill, PA and several nieces and nephews. Grace is also predeceased by her sister, Florence Fallacara, who passed away in 2022.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Saturday, December 21, 2024 in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. Services will begin at 11:00 am.
