Gregory Dale Lewis

Mr. Gregory Dale Lewis was born in Lake Charles, La. on November 5, 1959, to parents Harold Ray Lewis and Aubry D. Lewis. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Word of God Ministries in Shreveport, La. In his youth he enjoyed spending time with his grandparents on their farms in Keithville, La. and was a natural with horses.
He attended Huntington High School in Shreveport and spent many years working as a machinist at Brandon Enterprises. Later in life he pursued his interest in small-engine repair and became certified. The work he enjoyed most, however, was serving his clients as a certified health care worker.
His childhood joy of fishing with his father developed into a lifelong passion. He was a skilled fisherman, boat enthusiast, and self-proclaimed "Sportsman Paradise Crappie King". He was also an avid hunter and die-hard New Orleans Saints fan. Though he loved to joke and bring laughter to the room, his heart's truest joy was spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
Gregory (Bully) Lewis departed this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by parents, Harold & Aubry Lewis; brother, Bruce Allen Lewis; and son, Xavier Marquis' Lewis.
He leaves to cherish his memories: life partner of 24 years, Carolyn Quinley; brothers, Glenn Lewis (Jacqueline) and Rodney Lewis (Wanda, deceased) of Shreveport, La.; sons, Stephen Quinley, O'mark Williams, DeMarcus Quinley; daughters, Sharon Quinley, LaBrisha Jackson (Willie), Tremekia Lewis (Jamarcus), Quantasha Lewis; grandchildren, Tra'Darien Lewis, Tierra Lewis, Antwone Rambo, Alyssa Jackson, Esther Ary; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
