Gregory D. Main

Gregory D. Main, 56, of Westerly, RI, passed away at his home on January 25, 2026. Born on June 11, 1969, to the late Ella and Gilbert Main, Greg grew up in North Stonington, CT, and spent his adult life in both in North Stonington and Westerly.

Greg was predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Kimberly Main, who passed away in 2023. Kim and Greg met while still in high school and were married in 1992. They were blessed with three children, and one of Greg's greatest joys was watching their kids play sports and perform on stage. Greg coached his sons' baseball teams and was a natural athlete who played soccer in high school and softball later in life.

Greg graduated from Wheeler High School and worked alongside his father for several years before joining Electric Boat, where he spent the rest of his career. He was a strong and hard-working man who could build, fix, or lift just about anything.

Greg is survived by his daughter Danielle (Brendan), his sons Joshua and Jordan, his siblings Gilbert Main (Rebecca) and Heather Gough (Richard), and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. He was also predeceased by an older sister, Janella, who died in infancy.

A celebration of Greg's life will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Bradford Citizens Club, 124 Woody Hill Rd, Bradford, RI.
