Greg was born May 28, 1952 in Manitowoc, son of the late Neil and Marilyn (Meyers) Manthey.
Greg attended Sacred Heart Grade School and was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School. Greg then attended Manitowoc County Teachers College and University of Oshkosh.
Greg enjoyed following all sports, Rock N Roll Music and loved a good game of cribbage
Survivors include his sisters: Karen Manthey of Plymouth, Kathryn (Joel) Schmitt, of Manitowoc, Colleen Hahm of Grafton, Kimberly Manthey (Brian Fidlin) of Cedarburg. Nieces and Nephews: Angela Wigen, Elliot Schmitt (Fiancé Jennifer Schultz), Bailey Schmitt, Logan Hahm, Grace Hahm, Ethan Hahm, Macnessa Fidlin, Fergus Fidlin. Grand niece and nephews: Cameron Wigen, Colin Schultz, Nora Schmitt. Greg was preceded in death by his parents Neil & Marilyn Manthey.
A very heartfelt Thank You to the entire staff of Manitowoc Health Care for the excellent love and care and friendship they gave Greg. We are so grateful to you all.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Pfeffer location (928 S. 14th). The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the services at 6:00 p.m.
The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Pfeffer location, is assisting the Manthey family with arrangements.

My sympathies to the family & all who know & loved Greg. I had the privilege of growing up with his beautiful family and will always cherish those memories. He is a kind hearted and loving soul that will be missed. Forever rest in God´s loving embrace. Bless his family with fond memories of his smiling face. I love you Greg, Neil, and Marilyn. My sympathies to all that knew Greg - we´d call him Tut. He was a large influence on my becoming a Colts fan of the NFL in the early 60´s. Great guy!

So sorry to hear of Greg's passing. We graduated together in 1970, shared a table in science class, he also shared his answers with me. Hugs to his family & friends. My deepest sympathy to all!
