Gudrun Anna McAttee

Gudrun A. McAttee, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the age of 82 in Mason. Gudrun was born on October 31, 1942, in Bremerhaven, Germany to parents Ernst and Irmgard (Bremermann) Diehl. Her warmth and vivacity left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Her spirit of adventure brought her across the ocean, where she would eventually lay roots and build a life filled with joy, laughter, and love.
Gudrun is survived by her devoted spouse, Alan McAttee, and her loving children: Robert (Roya Panahi) Tinney, Kathleen (Stewart) Coss, Thomas (Carol) McAttee, and Bruce (Kathy) McAttee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Coss, Cheyanne (Rafael Esquer) Coss, Chase (Katelynn) Coss, Aria and Noah Tinney,
Teddi, Joe (Max), and Bryan McAttee; her brother, Wolfgang (Marlies) Diehl.
Gudrun is predeceased by her parents Ernst and Irmgard (Bremermann) Diehl.
Professionally, Gudrun dedicated many years as a secretary within the Lansing School District. She later retired from Delta Dental, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment to excellence.
Gudrun found joy in walking, yoga, and biking, embracing each day with vitality. Her love for socializing with friends was matched only by her love for traveling. Her life was a journey of love, friendship, and adventure. She will be remembered not only for the life she lived but also for the love she gave freely and the joy she brought to so many.
Funeral services will be held for Gudrun on Friday October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Church with Dr. Marvin Williams officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting. Interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Gudrun A. McAttee.
