Gwendolyn J. Hartley, 90, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away April 26, 2025. She was born October 20, 1934, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Harold and Winifred (Eckman) Vollmar. She married Calvin Hartley, they were married for 50 years, and he preceded her in death.
Gwendolyn was a member of The Tontogany American Legion Women's Auxiliary and The Calvary Church. She enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, going to garage sales, her love to bake and cook in which she would share with others her food and knowledge. She loved to ride her lawnmower at least twice a week because that was her pride and joy.
She is survived by her sister Charlotte Parker, brother Craig (Barb)Vollmar, 5 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, son in law David Fretter, daughter in law Laurie Hartley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin, daughter Debbie Klasen, two sons Allen Hartley, Jeffrey Hartley, sister Jane Routeson and infant grandson Calvin J. Hartley.
We will all miss her sense of humor, her sweetness and kindness. and most of all her home made from scratch Apple Pie.
The family would like to give a big thank you and acknowledge "The Girls" for keeping Gwen happy, cared for, and company to make her last days filled with smiles and laughter.
Thank you to Bridge Hospice out of Findlay for your services.
A private graveside service will be held at Otsego Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Tontogany, Ohio.
