Gwen was born January 27, 1964, in Hobbs, New Mexico, the daughter of David Buck Henson. On December 26, 1990, she married Larry Dwayne McBride at Ft. Smith, AR. The McBrides made their home in Pawhuska. A homemaker, Gwen was a faithful member of the Pawhuska Methodist Church. She loved going fishing in her spare time.
Gwen is survived by her husband, Larry McBride; son Matthew McBride; step-children Jason (Andrea) McBride, Jessica McBride Adams, Justin (Amanda) McBride, and Jeffrey (Tina) McBride; siblings Dianna Friend, Sheryl Johnson, Carolyn McBurl, Jessie Lawrence and "Buddy" Henson; grandchildren Blake McBride, Adain McBride, Mya McBride, Henry McBride, Alex Adams, Evelyn Adams, Madelyn McBride and Emily McBride; and one great grandchild on the way. Gwen was preceded in death by her father, Buck Henson; daughter Sarah Elizabeth McBride; and grandma Gladys Mae Goodrum.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
