Rosemary McBride, 93, of Washington Twp., passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing at Washington Twp.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frances O'Shaughnessy and Agnes Quinn O'Shaughnessy, she had been the wife of the late Rodger McBride, Sr. Rosemary moved to New Jersey in 1969 and had been a lifelong resident of Washington Twp. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, having lunch with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren. In her youth she loved going to the beach, especially in Wildwood.
She is survived by; her daughters, Lisa Claypool (Paul) and Rosemary VanNewenhizen (David); her brother, Jack O'Shaughnessy; grandchildren, Tracey, Stephanie, Kelli, Mark Jr., Matthew, Patrick, Paul III and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jocelyn, Brynlee, Madeline, Lucy, Rhyan, Vivianna, Jasper, Mark III, Conner, Easton and Nova; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by; parents, Frances and Agnes O'Shaughnessy; husband, Rodger McBride, Sr.; son, Rodger McBride, Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Ann, Catherine, Marge, Anne, Jimmy, Franny, Sissy, Charlie and Billy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Thursday, September 18th at St. Michael The Archangel, 49 West North St., Clayton, NJ, 08312. Friends will be received at the church from 10AM to 11AM prior to the Mass. Burial will take place privately at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove Twp. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Rosemary's memory to Samaritan Hospice, https://www.samaritannj.org/giving/ways-to-give/.
