Gwendolyn Pickens

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Gwendolyn Erlene Pickens, on September 11, 2025, at the age of 88, peacefully in her home in Tooele, Utah, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 7, 1937, in Compton, California, to loving parents. Gwendolyn was a woman of immense compassion and strength, known for her passion for family history, service, music and writing religious books.
She is survived by the father of her children Wesley Eugene Pickens and 4 daughters, Wendy, Rebecca, Diana, and Darlene. Seventeen grandchildren, Laura, Brian, Shannon, Sean, Joe, Greg, Brooke, Taryn, Lauren, Daren, Heidi, Bethany, Summer, Samuel, Dakoda, Jonathan and the late Erin. Seventeen great-grandchildren, EJ, Aiden, Liam, Conner, Madelyn, Esme, Sydnee, Mackenzie, Liam, Wyatt, Marley, Scarlett, Poppy, Milo, Mae, Oliver, and Wes.
A quote from her book "My Story" All of us have but one short lifetime to prove ourselves worthy of going back to live with our Father in Heaven. I hope that one day he will say to me, "You have done well my child."
A celebration of her life will be held at the LDS Church, 38980 Sky Canyon Drive, Murrieta, California, on September 27, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., and final interment will be at Rose Hills Cemetery.
