Gwendolyn Ann Spease
Gwendolyn Ann Spease (Nanny), 86, of Panama City Beach, passed away December 22, 2024. She was born in Richmond, VA to Oscar and Frances Wiley September 25, 1938. Nanny was a devoted Christian who spent her life sharing the love of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to everyone. Nanny devoted countless hours to the children of Gulf Beach Baptist Church and Preschool. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafts and collecting, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Nanny will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred L. Spease; and brothers, Oscar and David Wiley. Survivors include her children, Fred L. Spease, Jr., Kelly Rushing, and Everett Spease. a sister, Ellen Wiley; brothers, Franklin, John, and Joe Wiley; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren..
A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Buford Senn officiating. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time at Noon.
