Hansel Wayne Crigger

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Hansel "Wayne" Crigger, 73, of Yukon on January 22, 2025. Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of Christ, who was called home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Wayne was born March 8, 1951, in Welch, WV to the late Richard and Bettie Walker Crigger.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers Earl and James Crigger; Mother and Father-in-law, Bill and Teresa Hicks of Warriormines, WV.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years Donna Crigger; Daughters, Jennifer (Doug) Justice of Raysal, Regina Crigger and companion Harold McBride of Welch; Sons, Wayne Crigger Jr. of Yukon, and Jimmy (Lindsey) Crigger of Roanoke, Va; Wayne had 6 grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Finley of Welch, Stephanie (Matthew) Wiseman of Bluefield, Emilea Justice of Raysal, Libby Crigger of Roanoke, VA, Logan Jones of Yukon and Alivia Beckwith of Caretta; 7 great grandchildren Karter, Colson, Easton Wayne and Elliana Wiseman of Bluefield, and Cambree, Eli and Addisyn Finley of Welch; Sister, Gloria (Roy) Day of Yukon and a host of nieces and nephews and family.
Wayne loved his family in a way that filled them and guided them forward in life. He was the heart of his family, and his love will continue to bleed through them and his community. Wayne never met a stranger, and you couldn't find a kinder man to meet. Wayne found joy in relaying the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and always found a picture of them to share. He was dedicated to making everyone laugh and filled those he cut up with, with a lasting sense of joy. The way Wayne loved and cared will remain in the children he raised and the grandchildren who will remember him always. Wayne Crigger was as loved as any man could be and if he'd bragged about his own accomplishments, that would have been his biggest one.
As per Wayne's wishes he will be cremated and there will be a memorial service at the #2 Yukon Community Church on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. The family may visit at 4. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7.
