Hardy Yancey Todd, 80, of Huntsville; passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Berryville. He was born Thursday, February 17, 1944, at Vidor, Texas; to William Hardy and Stella Mary Yancey Todd.
Hardy married Mary Lee Clark on Saturday, June 20, 1964, at Baytown, Texas; and together they were parents to four children. Hardy served his country with pride as a member of the United States Air Force, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic for many years. He had a passion for blacksmithing and woodworking, always lending a helping hand on his family's farm and generously giving his time to others. Known for his skill and knowledge in building and repairing, he was a beloved grandfather and shared a special fondness for his two pet mules. Hardy was an active member of the Blacksmiths of Arkansas, and a former member of the Madison County Fair Board, and the Northwest Arkansas District Fair Board.
Hardy was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Frederick Eugene Todd, William Ralph Todd, Walter Herman Todd, and James LeRoy Todd.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Todd, of the home; three sons, Bill (Sherri) Todd, of Huntsville; Michael (Melissa) Todd, of Rogers; Wesley (Spencer Hudson) Todd, of Huntsville; one daughter, Melissa (Doug) Barney, of Henderson, Nevada; one sister, Pat Broussard of Seabrook, Texas; five grandchildren, Jonathan Todd, Matthew Todd, Samantha Todd, Alyson Todd, and Nyah Barney; one great-grandchild, Rosie Todd, and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2024, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM, with Alex Foster officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Fritts, Jr.; Roger King, Joe Doster, Joe Commerford, Alex Henry, and Matthew Todd. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Blacksmiths of Arkansas. Interment will immediately follow services at Alabam Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
