Hardy Jerry Wingo passed away Friday, August 29th, 2025 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 81.
Hardy was born April 30th, 1944 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Vernon (Stud) Wingo and Clora (Coppedge) Wingo. He attended school in Holdenville. Hardy married Linda Lee on November 15, 1963 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Banner Baptist Church, Hardy worked as a Forman in the Oil and Gas industry. He enjoyed going to flea markets with his buddy Pete Trammell, working with horses, mowing, tinkering in his shop, rebuilding old trucks, watching westerns and spending time with his granddaughters.
Hardy is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Joy Sue Wingo, Betty Jo Wingo, Donna Nadine (Wingo) Roberts, JB Wingo, Vernon(Nookie) Wingo and Johnny Neal Wingo. He is survived by his wife Linda Wingo of the home, children; Marty Wingo of Oklahoma City, Chris Wingo of Holdenville, granddaughter Bailey and husband Caleb Conn of Wewoka, great granddaughters; Tresslynn and Truett Conn, siblings; Doyle Wingo, Dennis Dale Wingo, Vollie Wingo, Ronald (Sonny) Wingo, Phyllis Byerly, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers are Neal Wingo, David Wingo, Tony Roberts, Larry Scroggins, Caleb Conn,
Jeff Wingo, Justin Wingo, Randy Brown and Buddy Griggs.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Holdenville, with Pastor Ronald Chastine officiating.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
