Harold Wayne Bryan passed away to God’s Loving Arms on July 7, 2025.
He was 74 years of age and was soon to celebrate his 75th birthday on July 24th.
He went to Northwestern University on a full football scholarship and graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree. His career took him from Texas to Saudi Arabia to Lakeland, Florida. He moved to Lakeland in 1990, met and married Brenda Giglia in 1994. Along the way, Wayne received two master’s degrees from the University of South Florida in Environmental Engineering. He retired from the City of Lakeland Water Utilities in 2015. His hobbies included painting, lapidary and jewelry making, cultivating vegetables and herbs, cooking, reading Sci-Fi fantasy fiction novels, going to live music events, and traveling.
Wayne never had children of his own but took on a fatherly role in taking care of and loving Brenda’s daughter, Jennifer and grandsons, Ethan and Jensen.
He leaves behind cherished memories of his love, kindness and giving spirit. Wayne was loyal and cared about his friendships. He was strong and a willing support to those around him, especially in times of need. We will miss him greatly.
